Analog Extensions. If your office is on the AstroTel network with a T1, the best option is an Analog Extension on the Virtual Office Phone System. Analog extensions provide the most reliable, seamless method of connecting both inbound and outbound calls through the system. A computer-based tool is provided to allow you to change your forward numbers, record greetings, manage calls in your hold queue, integrate with your Outlook, Goldmine or Act! software and other extension options. Inbound calls ring directly to your phone with no prompts and no hold time. If you're on the phone, the system will advise the caller of that and allow them to hold or leave a voicemail. Voicemail gets sent via email (with the callerID info) as a wav file to the recipient. This option has many more advantages, such as call forwarding, call transfer, conference calling and even inbound call groups. Inbound call groups (such as customer service) which allow your callers to select an option from the attendant which rings multiple people at the same time to increase the chance of the call being quickly answered by a live person. You can select any standard analog telephone device to use with this service, including cordless, BlueTooth devices, wired or wireless headsets, or just a plain old desk phone. Because the features are all provided by the system, your phone only needs to have a flash button in order to use them. Callers on hold, in personal call queue or workgroup call queue will hear music on our system. The ability to record a call on demand is provided on the computer applet. Automatic recording of all calls is available for a nominal monthly fee. Broadband Phone Extensions can use a high-speed internet connection (purchased seperately) to give you complete inbound and outbound calling services over the internet using a device called an IP Phone Adapter on the remote end.
